Issue #50·Feb 13, 2022·2025 Series

Sunday Funday It is Superbowl Sunday and almost Valentine's Day! So what is your plan? How do you usually spend your

Sundays? Do you have a regular routine? How are you doing with your New Year's resolutions? New What? Oh those are long forgotten. One of my daily routines for spiritual growth is to read the daily EnneaThought. Then I journal on how I am actually showing up vs. what my intention is. It is a great way to walk the talk is to reflect on how I need to rein it in and get back on track. If I'm not showing up with full integrity, I hit the reset button and start over. Spiritual work is not the place for self-ridicule but rather get curious, have compassion, courageously self-reflect.

This is an opportunity for growth!
Confession-I have not been practicing yoga as much as I want. So today I made a new
commitment to practice 6 days a week until May. That is a big commitment so how will I
do?
Here is how I set up for success. Success begets success. I create MTOs- Then tell
someone who will hold you to it! Minimum, Target, Outrageous
(MTOs)+Accountability=Success
Minimum I will show up on my mat. (this is the hardest part)
Target I will practice 30 min a day.
Outrageous I will complete the full Ashtanga series.
What is one thing you commit to doing for your health, relationships, career, or wealth?
What is one area where want to continue to grow? How will you set yourself up for
success?
Minimum I will _______________.
Target I will __________________.
Outrageous I will _________________.
Who will hold you accountable? This can be a coach, therapist, a close friend, or a
spouse. I like the velvet hammer approach.

Ayurveda is the oldest form of folk medicine known to man. It is all about finding
balance through homeostasis. The biggest lesson is to know it is all about the routine
and the foods we eat.
Routine and just listen to your body. Eat what is in season and is nourishing for your
body. Pay attention to any imbalance and treat with the opposite.
If you are cold all the time, eat and drink warm. If you are feeling lethargic and heavy,
eat light foods and avoid wheat and dairy. If you run hot, try cooling foods such as
beets. Speaking of beets...

Did you know that beets are one of the best foods to treat heat imbalance and to clean
the liver and improve eyesight? They can also act as a laxative, because they stimulate
the bile.
Beets are calming for the nervous system, so they can help with anxiety and clarity in
the mind. They have nitrites in them that delivers oxygen to the brain.
Beets also improve endurance and are an anti-inflammatory food. And, since it is
Valentine's Weekend you can add them to your honey's plate for a little extra spice.
They were known of as an Aphrodisiac in Roman times. Who knew!

Ok so that is enough of that for today. I hope you spend some time in contemplation and
self reflection to journal on what it is you really want. And, how are you going to get
there!
In the meantime, I am also here if you need extra support. I offer a free 30 min consult
and different options for 1:1 work. Whether it is your health, relationships, spiritual
growth, or healing trauma, I am happy to work with you using the ancient wisdom of the
Enneagram, Ayurveda, Yoga, and the new tool with true wisdom-IFS-that is the Parts
Work I have mentioned.
Part of me wants to eat better, and then there is a part that grabs the cheese and
bread. Oh that part is so stubborn!

We work together to reprogram the subconscious mind to do what the true Self wants. It
is powerful work. Anyhoo, I hope to see you somewhere on the journey to becoming
Whole--HEALING!
Namaste,
jen
