Day 3 is already here! OH MY GOODNESS! You are almost to the finish line. I am so happy for you. The hub has everything
including a fun meditation. Password is fall. How do you feel? I want details. What subtle changes do you notice? Sleep? Skin? Poop? Urine? Take notes in your journal. Are you noticing your taste buds are changing? We do not learn Ayurveda, we remember it. We remember what taste good and what does not. Coffee was an acquired taste that you actually did not like when you were a little girl.... HMM what other things are you eating or drinking that may have been acquired that are not actually what your body needs? Refer back to your workbook and read about the 6 taste. We've forgotten how to taste food that balance. Chew your food slowly and notice what you taste. Sweet, sour, salty, astringent, bitter, and pungent are what you are trying to find in every meal. Sour taste moves water/saliva to create digestive enzymes to help the body turn the food to fuel. Bitter also moves water. Hmm this is good for Kapha who retains water. Pungent dries up water so think about spices that add fire to a fire on Pitta. Astringent pulls water from whatever it touches so this is great for inflammation-think about unsweetened cranberry juice that puckers your mouth.
Inflammation is where heat and stagnated water have settled in one place. So how can
you move the stagnated water and release the heat?
Treat with opposite habits.
Consider turmeric and ginger to move it.
Resting the body for Pitta; gentle movement for Vata; Kapha can get up and go!
I suppose that is enough for today. Let me know how it is going. I am proud of you. You
are creating new pathways in your brain for new habits to live a healthy, happy life!
WHEW! Good Job Sisters!
Namaste,
Jen
