Day 13 What a day! How are you doing? I just had a session of acupuncture, so I am feeling a bit woo woo. I missed my
yoga class today, so I went to a TRX class that was so freaking hard! I was dripping sweat. Ayurveda would say, NO NO NO! According to Ayurveda you should not exercise so hard that you have to breathe through your mouth. You only want to go to the point of a bead of sweat. WHAT? Yeah! I know! Sweating is seen as bleeding. Even though you are releasing toxins, you do not want to overexert yourself. From this perspective, I fail miserably! I love to sweat! It feels good to me. It makes me feel ALIVE! Remember I am very Pitta and an Eight on the Enneagram. It is actually easy for a pitta to go big and go hard. The work for the Pitta is to slow it down and go easy. URGH! Are you Vata or Kapha? Kapha has trouble with motivation and the get-up and go and it is what you need the most! Remember, we treat with opposite guna. Kapha is Earth and Water--solid as a rock! You need movement. The vigorous exercise is good for you.
Pitta is Fire and Water--sharp, pungent, and hot. You need calm, yin yoga, easy
workout.
Vata is ether and air which can be dry and cold. You need warm and easy too. Vata has
a tendency to be fast and flighty like Peter Pan and can be scattered if out of balance.
Yoga is so good for you! Walking is too.
Anyhoo, this is a challenge right? I challenge you to do something opposite of what you
want this weekend. I want to go run fast and Ashtanga and sweat my booty off. I commit
to doing something slow and easy to bring coolness rather than more heat.
What can you do this weekend that is outside your comfort zone?
Namaste,
jen
P.S. What day works for you next week to do a Zoom call and what do you want to
discuss?
What else do you need to support your journey as we finish the challenge in the last
week? We have 8 days left. I want you to feel strong and empowered. What does that
look like for you?
With love,
Jennifer
