Why do I never feel like I am enough? "Letting Go of 'Not Enough' and Embracing Who You Are" As a general rule, I do

not take a lot of notes while I am in session with clients, because it feels like I am taking my eyes off my client and not fully present. It bites me in the booty occasionally if I cannot remember a detail from a previous session. However, recently I have been jotting down some common themes I am hearing over and over. “I AM NOT ENOUGH” Why do we not believe in ourselves more? Do you ever catch yourself feeling like no matter how much you accomplish, it’s never quite enough? You push yourself harder, but the sense of satisfaction never comes. It’s as if a quiet voice inside keeps whispering, “You’re not enough.” Where is that damn voice coming from? We’re constantly bombarded by images of perfection, success, and happiness on social media. We begin to internalize the message that if we’re not doing more or being more, then we’re falling short. But what if it doesn’t have to be this way? The Trap of 'Not Enough' Feeling like you're not enough often stems from perfectionism, comparison, and self-doubt. We tell ourselves that if we could just achieve more, look a certain way, or check off the next goal, we’ll finally feel worthy. But that finish line keeps moving. This is what I refer to as “drunk monkey talk.”

  • Drunk Monkey Talking Smack
  • This mindset leaves us:
  • Constantly chasing an unrealistic standard.
  • Judging ourselves harshly for every misstep.
  • Sabotaging our own happiness by never allowing ourselves to feel good
  • about where we are now.
  • The truth is, this belief that we’re not enough is not rooted in reality. It’s something we've
  • learned over time — from societal pressure, past experiences, or messages we’ve
  • absorbed from others AKA Legacy Burdens. And the good news? What’s learned can
  • be unlearned.
  • Embracing Who You Are
  • Letting go of 'not enough' begins with a shift in perspective. It's about learning to see
  • yourself for who you truly are, not through the lens of what you think you should be.
  • Here are a few steps to help you start embracing your worth:
  • 1. Recognize Your Inner Critic – That voice inside that tells you you're not
  • enough? It’s not the truth. Start by noticing when those thoughts come up,

and remind yourself that is just an old narrative and we can re-write this
story.
2. Celebrate Small Wins – We tend to overlook the everyday victories,
because we’re so focused on what’s next. Take time to appreciate the small
victories no matter how insignificant they may seem. These moments add up
and are worth celebrating.
3. Release the Comparison Trap – You cannot judge your insides by looking
at someone else’s outsides. Try to let go of comparing yourself to others and
recognize that your journey is unique and valuable.
4. Practice Self-Compassion – Be gentle with yourself, especially during
times of difficulty. Offer yourself the same kindness and understanding that
you would give a child. What would you say to a 6 yr old version of you?
5. Redefine Success – Success doesn’t have to mean perfection or endless
productivity. What if success was about feeling fulfilled, present, and
connected to yourself?
Success begets Success and will give you more energy to embrace all that life is
offering. You Are Already Enough
It’s time to let go of the belief that you need to be more or do more to be enough. You
are enough right now, just as you are — with all your imperfections, missteps, and
dreams. Embracing this truth can help free you from the cycle of self-criticism and open
the door to more peace and joy in your life.
As you move forward, I invite you to reflect on how you can nurture a sense of
worthiness from within. Let’s commit to no longer chasing external validation and
instead focus on embracing our Authentic Self.
Are you ready to find your True Self? What would your life look like if you truly
believed you were enough, just as you are? It’s a question worth sitting with. If this
message resonates with you, I’d love to continue the conversation.

Let's Do This
The work is simple but not always easy. There is a formula that is affective 100% of the
time. The secret is you have to practice it daily. You can re-write your story and
reprogram your subconscious mind. Your life can be filled with peace, joy, and Self
Worth! You are Enough and You Deserve to feel Alive and Empowered.
