Why talk therapy is just not enough! [FIRST NAME GOES HERE] Have you ever known someone who had the experience of going
to therapy/coaching for months or maybe even years only to find themselves living the same life just a new drama? Nothing changes until YOU DO! Talk therapy is great and can provide a pathway to reflect on life and lessons learned. It is up to the therapist/coach to ask good questions to help you come to a new way of looking about a situation. As the old saying goes, "Change the way you look at the situation, the situation changes." Yes, talking a situation through can definitely be beneficial. When you have a good relationship with your therapist/coach and she/he remembers past situations that may mirror the latest crisis, and she will bring that past event to your attention to provide an opportunity to see the parallels and use it as a teaching moment. That is all fine and dandy as long as you are learning, growing, and changing. The problem is when you stop growing and changing! If you simply go to therapy to a have a bitch session about your job, relationships, health, etc. and you never change. This is why I believe talk therapy simply is NOT enough!
If you really want to change your life, you have to change the subconscious program.
Getting into the subconscious mind is simple but not easy. Learning to do this is a
process and it WILL change your life! This is why I believe taking a holistic approach is
most effective. Your mind is the greatest tool you have.

Step 1. Awareness is the first step to the process which is one reason I use the
Enneagram. It shines a bright light on our blind spots that keep us stuck on a hamster
wheel. We do not realize just how habitual our behaviors are until we can wake up!
Then using the IFS (Internal Family Systems) helps us to get to know our parts that are
acting out to keep us safe AKA stuck. Now we know what we are dealing with!

You cannot solve your problems by simply talking about them!
Step 2. You have to change your level of consciousness. You can do this through
hypnotherapy or you can work to get into the subconscious program. Saying
affirmations is great too. However, that only changes the conscious mind which actually
only accounts for 4% of our mind. 96% is running on the subconscious program. Did
you get that? 96% is not conscious thinking.
Step 3. Practice the Process Daily. Once we get into the Theta zone, we can program
the mind with anything we want. The mind is so incredible and powerful. You can have
what you want! You can heal. You can change your life!
